There are too many hypocrites in the Church. Why should I become a Christian?

What's really stopping you?

“There are too many hypocrites in the Church” is often what people say when asked why they don’t attend church, believe in God, or want anything to do with Christianity in general.

But it sounds like an excuse, doesn’t it?

Here’s why: Jesus didn’t say, “Follow the Church!” He said, “Follow Me” (see Matthew 9:9, Mark 8:34, John 12:26).

So, what’s really stopping you?

Yes, you may find hypocrites in church, but you’ll also find people who are trying to live their life according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Hypocrites can be found everywhere you go. Sinners can be found everywhere you go, including in the church. We are all sinners. So why would you associate with them everywhere in the world except for the place dedicated to following the one and only sinless man (Jesus) in history and striving to be more like Him?

The worst sin you can commit is saying no to God. Are you ready to say yes?
