Ready for New Life?

Do you want to know God?

God's perspective works...This is life's most important decision.  Start your relationship with God through Jesus today.  Continue below...

Recognize that you are a sinner

No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one.”  We cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.

Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you

The Bible tells us that “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.

Repent of your self-directed life and its sin

The Bible tells us, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.”  The word repent means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.

Give your heart (your life) to Jesus.

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in...”

Make a choice now

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and give you my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”

Did you pray this prayer?

It is a new day!

I found a great treasure!

It took 20 years.

After wandering through life with uncertainty about God…and growing certainty about my shortcomings, I began to search for answers. Two years later, I still hadn’t arrived.

Finally, I heard quiet words in my mind, “You need to go back to square one.” “What was that about?” I thought. I was certainly religious enough doing many spiritual “pushups” …church and Bible study.

I thought, “Why was there no peace? Had I somehow missed step one? What was step one in knowing God?”

I finally began to realize that I didn’t need to learn or do anything more, but simply needed to investigate the response of my heart. Jesus, I already knew, was God’s Son. I knew He had died on the cross to forgive my sins.

But the question arose in my heart. “What was my response? Had I honestly surrendered my heart to him? Was I still in charge of my own life? Who had the final say so in my life? ”

I began to consider the consequence of ending my lifelong effort to run life myself, even my religious efforts, and instead, simply give (surrender) my heart to Him…like a child.

I began to wonder about the implications of really taking that step. “What would He do with my life?” Slowly it dawned on me that I would have to trust Him. Jesus was a King of love…and proved it by what He had done when He died on the cross.

Finally, I lifted my hands and said to Jesus, “I give you my heart.”

Immediately I heard these words of response of Jesus from deep within my being.  “I’ll take it.” My 20 years of uncertainty ended.

I had discovered the great treasure that was worth any price.
